2010 is the Chinese Year of the Tiger. Tigers are found in 12 countries across Asia, including China, but poaching continues to be a major threat to the species. The tiger is already afforded the world's top conservation ranking, with a ban on all international commercial trade. But there will be calls for greater efforts at the 15th meeting of CITES starting tomorrow in Dohar, Qatar.
