FOR THE PAROO RIVER DOWNSTREAM OF HUNGERFORD
Issued at 11:30 AM on Thursday the 11th of March 2010
Flood Warning Number: Reissue 21
The Paroo River peaked at Hungerford near 2.87 metres Wednesday evening and is
now falling slowly. This is slightly higher that the April 1990 flood

Flood levels at Willara Crossing and Wanaaring are also expected to slightly
exceed the April 1990 flood. Forecast have been revised slightly to reflect the
Hungerford peak.

Major flooding along the Cuttaburra Creek has been reported. Similar flood
levels to April 1990 are expected in this area.

Predicted River Heights/Flows:
Willara Crossing - Peak near 4.5 metres late Saturday [13/03/2010].

Wanaaring - Peak near 5.0 metres late Tuesday [16/03/2010] with
major flooding.

MAJOR FLOOD WARNING
FOR THE CULGOA, BOKHARA, BIRRIE AND NARRAN RIVERS
Issued at 11:17 AM on Thursday the 11th of March 2010
Flood Warning Number: 8
The main flood waters are in the Dirranbandi area in Queensland. The Ballone
Minor at Dirranbandi is expected to remain steady with a peak of near 5.3 metres
today. River rises have commenced on the Narran River at New Angledool, and on
the Culgoa River at Woolerbilla.

The flood waters from Queensland are beginning to extend into New South Wales
where major flooding is expected in the Culgoa, Bokhara, Birrie and Narran River
Systems. Flood levels are expected to exceed those of the April 1990 floods.

Predicted River Heights/Flows:

Culgoa River at Brenda - Peak near 6.0 metres around 19/3/2010
with major flooding

Culgoa River at Weilmoringle - Peak near 6.0 metres around 24/3/2010
with major flooding.
Culgoa River at Kenebree - Peak near 6.8 metres around 2/4/2010
with major flooding.

Narran River at New Angledool (Manual Gauge) - Peak near 2.8 metres around
17/3/2010, with major flooding.

Bokhara River at Goodooga - Peak near 4.3 metres around 20/3/2010
with major flooding.

Birrie River at Goodooga - Peak near 5.0 metres around 20/3/2010
with major flooding.

Bokhara River at Goodwins - Peak near 3.6 metres around 5/4/2010
with major flooding.

MINOR TO MODERATE FLOOD WARNING
FOR THE BARWON DARLING RIVER
Issued at 10:31 AM on Thursday the 11th of March 2010
Flood Warning Number: 6
The Barwon River at Mungindi was 6.39 metres and still near its peak on Thursday
morning causing some minor flooding.

The Moonie River peak is expected at Gundablouie on Thursday. This Moonie River
peak is expected to arrive at Mogil Mogil this Sunday.

Major flooding in the Culgoa, Moonie, Warrego and Paroo river systems is
expected to cause moderate flooding along the Barwon Darling River at Bourke and
downstream from mid March onwards into April.

Predicted River Heights/Flows:
Mungindi - remain near 6.3 to 6.4 metres for another day or so with minor
flooding before falling slightly
- remain near minor flood level (6.1 metres) until later next week

Mogil Mogil - peak near 7.9 metres around 14/3/10 with minor flooding

Below are preliminary forecasts which will be updated as upstream peaks are
observed. They are also subject to change with any further heavy rainfall events
over the next 2 months.

Collarenebri - peak near 5.2 metres which is below minor flood level
around 17/3/10

Walgett - peak near 10.2 metres which is below minor flood level
around 22/3/10

Brewarrina - peak near 4.5 metres which is below minor flood level
around 2/4/10

Bourke - peak near 11.5 metres around 12/4/10 with moderate flooding

Louth - peak near 11.5 metres 3rd week April with major rural flooding

Tilpa - peak near 12 metres late April with major rural flooding flooding

Wilcannia - Reach 9.8 metres 2nd week of May with moderate flooding
- Possible further rises to about 11 metres later in May if the
Paroo overflow reaches the Darling River with similar flows
to those recorded in May 1990

FOR WARREGO RIVER IN NSW
Issued at 10:20 AM on Thursday the 11th of March 2010
Flood Warning Number: 39
At 6:30am Thursday the Warrego River at Cunnamulla in Queensland was 9.9 metres
and was falling slowly with major flooding.

The flood waters from Queensland are expected to cause moderate flooding in NSW
with levels slightly above the 2008 flood.

Major flooding along the Cuttaburra Creek has been reported. Similar flood
levels to April 1990 are expected in this area.

Predicted River Heights/Flows:
Barringun (automatic gauge) - Peak near 4.6 metres around Saturday
[13/03/2010] with moderate flooding.

Enngonia - Peak near 2.6 metres around Tuesday [16/03/2010]
with moderate flooding.
Fords Bridge Bywash - Peak near 3 metres late March with moderate flooding.
